The thought of a boudoir experience can be really scary and slightly intimidating. When talking with women about their upcoming sessions, I’m asked loads of great questions. I thought it would be a great idea to answer the most frequently asked questions.
I’m incredibly picky about this and your comfort is my first and only concern when it comes to sharing images. It’s completely your decision to share them and I 1000% respect that you may not be ready for that or comfortable with that. I want you to feel safe to tell me that you’d like to keep them private therefore we will both sign the contract agreeing to your decision and I will not react one way or the other.
Not at all! I’ve had clients bring in their favorite dresses, outfits, their partners favorite team jersey or work uniform. The options are endless and you can wear anything from covered head to toe to absolutely nothing if that’s your preference.
I have 3 options actually. There is a retainer fee that’s due to book your session to reserve your date, then on the day of the session we will see and order your images. I work with PayPal Credit and Square Installments directly for options. Both of these will run a credit check and if approved will work out a payment plan with you directly, then they will pay me in full and I can get started on your order that evening.
The third option is an in house payment plan. There is a minimum $200 down due the day of your session and then we will work out monthly payment options from there. I will not run a credit check and no images/products will be delivered until the balance is paid in full.
It sure is! I want you to have a day of pampering, so I’ve hired the best of the best in Kansas City. Your session includes one dry hair and makeup look. False lashes are also an option if you’d like them. A special bonus is that you can get the lashes to last a couple days if you’d like. My artist uses professional grade products, water based glues and individual lashes. She will ask you loads of questions to make sure it’s a true collaboration and you love your look.
I edit your images to make sure the light, color and crop is correct. Then I’ll edit out anything that is temporary, ie: bruises, acne, etc. However anything that is permanent I believe carries its own life story to bringing you to the person you are today. I do understand and relate to working on loving different parts of oneself and it’s completely okay to feel that way. I’m happy to talk in further details about things you’d like adjusted and I believe you’ll find very little you’ll want to change. 🙂
There are a lot of different options on where to go to get outfits from. I have a list built that I send in the welcome email and will list them below. For local places, it’ll vary depending on where you’re located and the look you’d like. I like to try and find places that are size inclusive if I can and shop there.
Here are a few places that I’ve had good luck ordering from online if you’d like to check them out. I don’t get referral bonuses from them.

I offer two different types of albums. Standard and Luxury. The standard albums come in sizes 5×5, 8×8, and 10×10. They have a plain album box with approximately 20 different cover options for the album itself.
The luxury albums are sourced from Portugal. They have a custom box matching the album design, embossing options, gilding and acrylic options. They are the ‘go big or go home’ of albums. The sizes range from 8×8, 10×10 and 12×12.
I also offer various sizes for canvas wall art that you can display in your home.
All of the collections have a digital product and print product. You also have the option to buy only digital images if you. would prefer. They are high resolution files, fully edited, and sent via a secure online gallery for you to download and share.
This is a great question and one I don’t get asked a lot about but do hear later about being nervous. It is perfectly normal to be nervous. It’s a huge part of the process of changing how you see yourself. Even if this is a gift for your other half, it’s really a gift for you first. Please, be nervous. Sit in those emotions and feel them. Because great change comes from great discomfort.
3-4 is what we will end up taking photos in. Usually most clients bring 4-6 and then we pick from there. I also have a wardrobe with various pieces, robes, shawls, etc that you are welcome to wear for your session.
About 5-10 minutes early is perfect. It’ll give you plenty of time to find a parking spot (it’s super easy), gather your things and walk up the stairs. If you have heavy items please let me know and I can either get the freight elevator or help carry it up.
In the West Bottoms near across the interstate from downtown Kansas City, MO. It’s a really neat old industrial area and my building is about 125 years old. It’s a really cool location that’s in the heart of the antique shops to shop at.
The exact address is: 1107 Hickory Street Kansas City, MO 64101
When you arrive for hair and makeup it will be myself, you and the hair and makeup artist. Three total. Then she will leave (she’s a boss lady and has to head to other jobs) and we will take your photos. You’re welcome to bring a friend if you would like. I do ask that they hang out in the waiting area, are there to hype you up and I’ve got you covered with posing.
